About Me

What's up?

My name is David Crosby.

(no, not that David Crosby, unfortunately)

I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, and  recent graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media Design. I like to tell stories, whether they're my own or someone else's.

In my free time, you'll find me working on my self-published comic series (Fro-Man and Dubstep Boy), contemplating a design problem, or cooking up …something.

My Story

I grew up in a town just north of  Louisville, Kentucky, where I discovered my love for drawing and creating. I've always loved to read and tell stories, and visual storytelling has always been my way of doing that. While most kids grow out of their comic book phase in elementary school, I kept it as a major part of my life.

In high school, I realized that my stick figure stories on scratch paper weren't going to cut it anymore. That's when I decided to start fresh, and publish my first comic book, Fro-Man and Dubstep Boy. That meant redesigning all my characters, writing a cohesive narrative, and switching to digital illustration. This began my interest in the world of graphic design.  As I worked to create the series, I was recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing awards for the first and second issues of Fro-Man.

After graduating from high school, I decided to pursue my passions further. While studying at the University of Kentucky, I've gained new skills and experiences that have helped to shape me into a more well-rounded artist and designer. As a natural problem-solver, gaining the resources to properly address design issues with my unique perspective solidified my love for graphic design. I've immersed myself in studying the principles and mastering the latest design tools and software. During my studies, I've worked on various projects, from design internships with the University to continuing my self-published comic book series.

I'm passionate about continuing my journey in the creative world, and ready to offer creative solutions to those looking for a unique style to enhance their projects.
